WebTuva short fat-tailed sheep are a coarse wool breed raised for their meat and wool. They come from Tuva, an extremely mountainous region in south central Russia, along the Russia-Mongolia border. The summers in this area are warm (25-35°C), but in winter the temperatures vary from -30 to -40°C. Some areas within the territory are permafrost.
