Webb26 jan. 2024 · The STC to square off the Pawnee wing makes it capable of handling heavier loads. A rib is added which gives the extra wing area that makes a big difference in high density altitude work. I never had a PA-22 with the squared wing. The design makes the wings where they don't twist so they need only the front strut. This means that the rigging by changing the length of the front and rear strut can't be used to wash out the tip. By the way, If you metalize a Pacer wing you have a little problem adjusting the washout also.
