Web29 nov. 2011 · A dropped valve will have the follower tight against cam, normally a little lash as lifter bleeds down. Spider cracks on lifters means timing slipped. Drop oil pan and look for wiped bearings or broken rod. If problem with timing belt or head, then probably worth going into engine. Fix may be limited to head work only. As far as locking up that just weird. Even coming to a stop you would if it died. Not cranking could be a number of things from a starter to a fuse. Keep us all informed please.
