Bazookas in CoH1 are quite different than in CoH2 in 2 ways: much less penetration (meaning they are completely ineffective against tank front armour for the most part), and less accuracy.

Note on that last one. Players complained about one or two infantry not getting behind heavy cover when instructed to. So in CoH 2 they made formations tighter. Tighten them up any more and you get Dawn of War 3 where units stand in perfect formation.
